Pesto Chicken Pizza
Approximately 180 Calories/slice
Mmmm, doesn’t that just sound amazing?? Have you ever been to a nice pizzeria and they had those delicious specialty pizzas? Well, most of them lend themselves very well to being made healthy and fast while still being fantastic! This is one of my very favorite pizzas and only requires that you throw everything on the crust, bake, cut and serve.
For those of us who want to cut off as much prep time as possible, I recommend buying pesto sauce in the store, but if you’d prefer, it is amazing with homemade pesto! I’ll include my recipe for pesto sauce after the pizza directions.
What You’ll Need:
1 bag of store-bought refrigerated pre-cooked chicken (the kind they package for fajitas and such.)
1 pizza crust (store-bought or homemade depending upon preference and time constraints)
2 cups of pesto sauce
3 cups mixed cheese—grated (I use so much more cheese than I’m supposed to, though! Shh! Don’t tell!)
Preparation:
Lay pizza crust on pizza rack if you have one. If not, just place pizza on a large pan or cookie sheet, set closer to the bottom of the oven and bake for 4-5 minutes longer than specified time.
Spread pesto evenly over pizza crust and add chicken on top.
Sprinkle cheese over everything and place in the oven.
Bake at 375 degrees F for 10-14 minutes (add time to crisp bottom if placed on cookie sheet.)
I hope you all enjoy this great pizza!
